Why free shipping over £25 ?
We've chosen to ship for free when you purchase goods totaling over £25 as a gift to our customers who have chosen to shop with us, overseas customers have a discounted rate.
We ship 5 days a week via a variety of services depending on your chose and the most reliable options. Occasionally we may upgrade your shipping or substitute a different service at no extra cost to you.

We take security of payment details very seriously and use SAGEPAY sophisticated systems in order to verify and process your payment details, our services enable you to use 3D security, basically a 'pin' number to use online, if you don't have one don't worry whilst 'checking out' information is provided.

Are we real?
We have been asked before if we are a real company, obviously it's important to know your buying from a recognised entity and doing some research is a good thing.

We endeavour to recycle everything that we can, luckily there is a local recycling company that are able to take anything we cannot reuse ourselves.
We are able to reuse much of the packaging we receive, we keep the use of paper with the offices to a minimum.

Packaging & the Environment
Since 2000 years we use a combination of sustainable paper bags, bio degradable and re-usable material bags for customers which be used repeatedly. This is an area we research and review regularly.
We don't over package our products but ensure they will survive the journey home or via a delivery service.
The company vehicles are normally only used for exhibitions and stock movement within our locations.
We are making the change to LED lighting where possible.
When we last redecorated we used organic paints.
Staff regularly walk, bus or cycle, share or use public transport to our locations. What do you about recycling and green issues?
Why do you have a 0844 phone number what does it cost to call you?
We decided to have a non-geographic number 08444155512 because after having re-located twice we didn't want have to change our contact details again, this way we will always have the same phone number, to call it costs the same as any UK national rate call.
Do you sell Wholesale?
We import directly from a number of countries and at times are able to offer discounts to retailers and resellers, we offer this service online, however we will need trading status & contact details then we can forward details to you regarding access to our trade catalogue online, similar to our retail site. How long have you been in business?
Earthly Gems began officially in March 2000 when we started to supply crystals and minerals to various retailers and stockists from a draughty storeroom, retail premises were found a few months later, a small shop with a therapy room which was outgrown within 2 years.
We then moved a little way down the road to a larger shop and increased our number of draughty storerooms!
We now reside in a large warehouse unit and hold occasional open days for visitors, if you are interested in an open day please sign up to our mailing list
During this time we've been selling online we've shipped goods all over the country and the world, Brasil, USA, France, Thailand, Turkey, Denmark to name just a few!
It's amazing and wonderful that our goods find there new homes around the globe and it's lovely to receive messages and comments from happy customers!
Do you have synthesised or laboratory grown stones?
Unless requested by a customer we do not normally stock any 'non-natural' stones, when we do have treated or coloured stones it is stated in the items description. eg. coloured agates, aqua aura.
We do not stock items such as artificially irradiated smokey quartz etc...
Do you have a shop?
We had a 'REAL' shop for over 10 years in the small Lincolnshire town of Market Deeping, prior to that in Deeping St. James, so we weren't just a virtual presence online, you know we're dedicated in what we do, you'll also find us at various fairs and shows around the region and country from craft fairs, car shows, rock shows(of the mineral kind!) and occasionally complementary health, Earthly Gems past .
Are the pictures the actual items for sale?
Yes most definitely (except where stated for example with tumblestones, key-rings etc). we do believe in showing you the actual goods because then you can connect with the crystal you're buying. If you can't see it you have no idea about it's appearance or quality!
This also means that what we display is actually IN STOCK so you know that if you buy an item it will be with you soon!
Are your crystals cleansed ?
All our crystals are regularly cleansed on arrival and during there stay whilst they await new homes, we use a variety of techniques including sound, sea salt, water, generator crystals, herbs, incense and smudge.
However we do recommend you spend a little time cleansing and attuning the crystals you purchase.
When can I expect my goods with 'free shipping'
All goods that qualify for free shipping are normally sent on a standard class signed for or equivalent service, unless particularly bulky, heavy or of high value when we may choose an alternative service. We aim to dispatch orders received during 'office hours' the same day or by the next working day. We have a post collection every working day!
Sometimes I can't add items to the basket
often the problem here is due to the browser versions, cookie restrictions or firewalls you are using, we test our systems daily but contact us if you experience difficulties
